Return to Sport Physical Therapy in Columbus, GA

Cleared Isn't the Same as Ready

Getting cleared for sport isn't the same as being ready for it. At Revive, we use objective force plate testing and sport-specific programming to confirm true readiness and get you back competing at full strength.

Getting Back Too Soon Costs You More

Surgical Clearance Isn't Sport Clearance

Your surgeon cleared you based on healing timelines, not your strength symmetry, power output, or movement readiness. Those gaps are where re-injuries happen.

Re-Injury Risk Is Real Without Testing

Returning to sport based on how you feel rather than objective data leaves major gaps. A setback from incomplete rehab can be worse than the original injury.

Generic Rehab Isn't Built for Your Sport

Protocol-based programs don't account for your position, your sport's demands, or what it actually takes to perform and compete at your level.

Athletes Who Came Back Stronger

See how competitive and recreational athletes in Columbus used objective testing and sport-specific rehab to return to competition with confidence.

Both Eric and Michael have been super helpful to me. As a college athlete they helped me get back on the field as well as educate me on how I can improve my body to elevate performance. They have a great process to help patients. I recommend Revive to anyone no matter how big or small their issue may be.

Awesome known Eric for awhile, Very good and helpful definitely recommend. My pain has definitely been a lot better since I went to him. After being told you aren’t able to be as mobile as before was very hurtful but going to Eric has made me more mobile then ever and I am more confident with myself. Thank you Eric you are awesome.

Frequently Asked Questions

Preparing for a return to sport raises a lot of questions. Here are the ones athletes and parents in Columbus ask most before starting a program at Revive.

My surgeon said I'm cleared — why do I still need return-to-sport testing?
Surgical clearance is based on healing timelines. It tells you the tissue has recovered, not that your strength, power output, and movement patterns are ready for sport. Return-to-sport testing with VALD force plates gives you objective data on readiness and helps close the gaps that lead to re-injury.
Do you work with high school athletes?

Yes. Youth and high school athletes are a core part of the Revive return-to-sport program. We build sport-specific, age-appropriate progressions that account for the demands of your sport and give athletes and their families a clear picture of the path back to competition.

How long does a return-to-sport program take?
Timeline depends on the injury, the surgery type, and where you're starting from. After your evaluation, we'll outline a realistic progression with clear benchmarks at each stage, so you and your family always know where you stand and what comes next.
What sports do you work with?

We work with athletes across a wide range of sports including soccer, baseball, football, golf, tennis, CrossFit, and running. We also offer Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) testing for golfers and running gait analysis for runners returning to training.

Does Revive accept insurance for return-to-sport rehab?

Revive is a cash-based clinic and does not bill insurance directly. We accept HSA and FSA cards. Superbills are available upon request for clients who want to seek out-of-network reimbursement on their own.
