Knee Pain Physical Therapy in Columbus, GA

Your Knees Shouldn't Be the Reason You Stop

Knee pain during squats, stairs, runs, or sport is one of the most common reasons active adults modify their training and hold back from the activities they love. At Revive, we find the root cause — whether that's a strength deficit, movement fault, or structural issue — and build a plan to fix it.

Knee Pain Gets Worse When You Ignore It

Training Through It Is Loading the Problem

Continuing to squat, run, or play through knee pain without addressing the root cause adds load to the issue and builds compensation patterns that are harder to correct the longer they go on.

Rest Without a Plan Brings You Back to the Same Problem

Time off reduces irritation, but the weakness, movement fault, or structural issue that caused it remains. Return without a plan and you're back where you started.

You're Running Out of Modifications

Swapping deadlifts for leg press, avoiding squats, running shorter distances: these work for a while. But eventually you run out of modifications and still haven't fixed the underlying problem.
Common Conditions We Treat

Knee Conditions We Work With

From running-related pain and tendinopathy to post-surgical rehab, people come to Revive when knee symptoms are limiting their training and sport. Here's a sample of what we commonly address.

Patellofemoral Pain (Runner's Knee) - Knee pain around or behind the kneecap during running, squatting, or stairs — one of the most common complaints among runners and active adults.

Patellar Tendinopathy (Jumper's Knee) - Pain at the base of the kneecap that flares with jumping, running, and heavy lower-body loading — common in volleyball, basketball, and strength athletes.

IT Band Syndrome - Lateral knee pain in runners and cyclists that worsens as mileage or volume increases and limits training consistency.

Meniscus Pain and Irritation - Knee joint pain with locking, catching, or swelling affecting your ability to squat, run, or perform change-of-direction activities.

ACL Rehabilitation - Structured post-surgical or non-operative ACL rehabilitation built around return-to-sport testing benchmarks and sport-specific progressions.

Knee Pain in Active Adults - Knee stiffness and pain in active adults who want to maintain their training and lifestyle — managed through load tolerance, strength, and movement quality improvements.

Post-Surgical Knee Rehabilitation - Rehabilitation after knee replacement, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, or other procedures with progressive loading and clear return-to-activity milestones.

Knee Pain With Squatting or Lifting - Pain or discomfort under load in the gym that may be linked to movement faults, quad or hip weakness, or tissue-level issues within the joint.

Frequently Asked Questions

Thinking about PT for knee pain in Columbus? Here are the questions we hear most from athletes and active adults before getting started at Revive.

Will I have to stop running or training while I'm in PT?

Not necessarily. Our goal is to keep you moving as much as safely possible while we address the root issue. We'll help you figure out what to modify and what to keep loading so you don't lose fitness while the plan does its work.

Is surgery my only option for my knee?
Many knee conditions respond well to physical therapy before surgery is considered. After your evaluation, we'll give you an honest picture of whether conservative care is the right path, or whether imaging or a specialist referral makes more sense for your situation.
I've been dealing with knee pain for months — is it too late to fix it?

It's not too late. Chronic knee pain is common, and many clients who've been dealing with it for a long time still see significant improvement with the right plan. A thorough evaluation gives us the clearest picture of what's going on and what's most likely to help.

Do you work with runners?
Yes. Running-related knee pain is one of the most common issues we see at Revive. We work with patellofemoral pain, IT band syndrome, and tendinopathy in runners and incorporate running gait analysis when it's relevant to your plan.
Does Revive accept insurance for knee pain PT?

Revive is a cash-based clinic and does not bill insurance directly. We accept HSA and FSA cards. Superbills are available upon request for clients who want to submit to their insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
